We are not very big fans of, let's say, art. This museum is something else. Enormous number of art gathered in outstanding palace. Something for everyone.
We recommend to use audioguide but then you should spend all day there to learn anything about these sculptures, paintings etc.

I’m not a museum person. After about 2 hours I get sick of all the people and I’m done reading every placard. The Lourve proved to be an exception. We spent almost the entire day just wandering the expansive collections. The app had a great audio guide, which we occasionally tuned into for more info. Such a wide variety of art that it would be hard to get bored. It’s large enough to absorb a ton of people, so it rarely felt congested. The only area that got too crowded for me was the Egyptian antiquities, and it’s understandable because it was a cool area.

What can one say, book online and arrived early at 9 o clock, the mona Lisa is packed as expected but other pictures are amazing by caravaggio and French masters. Loved the sculptures and audio guide
was worth it. As said the museum is huge and you could spend hours there. Nice lunch in cafe and after a good walk in the gardens and sit back in nice chairs by pond.
