It's always best to visit the Louvre for the first time with a guide who knows where the "must-see" pieces are: The Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, Winged Victory of Somothrace, Athena of Valletri, Crown Jewels of France, Coronation of Napoleon and too many to mention here. Always make reservations ahead of time.
