Excellent facilities. Greaf guide books even without the audio guide. Well laid out and signposted very well. The entry fee is high in comparison with UK museums. A good visit to be had.

We just returned from 10 days in Paris & acquired timed tickets to the special 500th anniversary DaVinci exhibition. There was no line and we were allowed in a good 15 minutes before our timed-tickets allowed to our surprise. The exhibit was mobbed. Between the many who insisted on photographing virtually every piece with their phones and those following the audio guide we were able to see approximately 50% of the pieces on display and left totally frustrated after barely 30 minutes. A horrible job of management by the Louvre & the guards who allow so many people in regardless of the time and for allowing the use of cell phones. A very disappointing ‘celebration’ of the genius of Leonardo. Save your time & money-order the exhibit catalogue on Amazon.

Do your research before going to Le Louvre. It’s enormous so you need to focus on just one part of it or you will be overwhelmed. The audio guide is over- complicated, not as easy to use the one in the Musée d’ Orsay. The building itself is as impressive as the art so look around as you walk about.
