An incredible collection of the art from all over the world. Would highly recommend booking a time slot in advance to avoid the brutal line. Also try entering from the underground entrance to avoid some of the crowds. Spent 4 hours and still didn’t see half of the museum. Highly recommend.
Very crowded, overwhelming, at least for me with no formal training in art. Would def recommend a tour guide to help you focus and appreciate just a few pieces (we used Babylon semi private tours)
Seeing the art in the Louvre exceeded expectations. Crowded? Yes. Plenty of time to see everything? No. So much art history here. I wish our group could have stayed longer. Long line to see the Mona Lisa but it moves fast. Also enjoyed the scultpures and the interior of the building itself.
